Villa Charities Scholarship Program Applications Ongoing for 2021

If you are a student looking for the opportunity to sponsor your collage degree, then the Villa Charities Scholarship Program will be the best for you.

The Villa Charities Scholarship Program provides financial support to Undergraduate and Graduate level students of any heritage, who believe in and help further Villa Charities’ mission to enrich lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage.

In the past year, eight students who apply for the villa Charities Scholarship program were awarded scholarships independently through the Villa Charities Scholarship Program and four students in partnership with George Brown College for the Architecture Technology Program.

Villa Charities Scholarship Criteria

The Scholarships will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Registered, full-time student at an accredited university or college.
  • Students must be Canadian citizens or have permanent-residence status.
  • Have a GPA of 3.5+.
  • Villa Charities’ mission is to enrich lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage. Any person, regardless of heritage, that helps further this mission is encouraged to apply.

There are various number of Scholarships for different level of students, there are scholarships for undergraduates and on for graduates. So apply for your level and standthe chance of Winning this year.

#1. Villa Charities Undergraduate Student Scholarship (Incl. The Janet Angela Rinaldi Tribute Scholarships)

Awards of $2,500 (to be used for tuition only) will be presented to each of four (4) full-time Undergraduate Student(s) at an accredited Canadian university or college with the following criteria:

  • Registered in an Undergraduate program and must be entering the second, third, or fourth year of the program
  • Have a GPA of 3.5+. See Terms and Conditions for additional requirements.
  • Students must be Canadian citizens or have permanent-residence status
  • Online application and supporting documentation submitted by the March 31, 2021 deadline (late applications will not be considered)
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities through various means such as volunteer community service
  • Exhibits passion in their field of study. Preference given to students who demonstrate special interest in Italian heritage and culture as part of their program of study, such as through a co-op, internship, and/or an applied research project.
  • Written essay (500 words) describing how they help further Villa Charities’ mission – to enrich lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage

#2. Villa Charities Graduate Student Scholarship

Awards of $5,000 (to be used for tuition only) will be presented to each of four (4) full-time Graduate student(s) at an accredited Canadian university or college with the following criteria:

  • Registered in a Graduate program
  • Have a GPA of 3.5+. See Terms and Conditions for additional requirements.
  • Students must be Canadian citizens or have permanent-residence status
  • Online application and supporting documentation submitted by the March 31, 2021 deadline (late applications will not be considered)
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities through various means such as volunteer community service
