Can I take two courses at the same time?

The answer is YES! As long as you have enough time, you can take two courses at the same time. We suggest going to one class four days a week and another class three days a week so that each class only meets twice a week. That way, you will have time to study for those classes outside of class and catch up on missed lectures if necessary.

Concurrent candidacy refers to the ability to study two independent courses at the same time. A student may enroll as a concurrent candidate in up to two individual courses at the same time, or he or she may enroll in one course while studying Non-Award units.

However, whether a student is authorized for concurrent candidacy is contingent on the consent of both relevant Course Coordinators and the provisions of the applicable course rules. Course Coordinators must approve if the student may begin a concurrent candidacy place and the overall maximum study load for the student’s place.

If you want to apply for concurrent candidacy, you must do the following:

Apply for your first choice course.

Once you have received an offer for your primary chosen course, you must submit a request for concurrent candidacy using the Contact Us button. The University will next determine if you are eligible to study simultaneously.

How does sending in assignments work?

Submit all assignments electronically to your instructor via Blackboard. If you are required to submit your work by hand, mail it back to your instructor as soon as possible. Please note that this policy is not applied to the final exam submitted through Blackboard.

Why do I need to buy a laptop if I am not taking classes?

Laptops are allowed in the library if you wish to research notes or to find ways to improve your grades. You also may use them in lab, or if you prefer, to track your assignments. Under no circumstances are they permitted in class. Please know that you don’t have to buy a laptop in order to take classes at Sinclair. The laptop you bring to class may be compatible with Blackboard and provide you with wireless access.

Why can’t I use my smartphone in lab?

Using your phone in lab is distracting and detrimental to your grade. We strongly advise that you purchase a charger for your phone the first time you come in lab so that you will have a dependable way to study during class, rather than using your phone or e-reader.

Why do I need to sign up for lab every semester?

When you sign up for lab, you are given a number of live classes. Signing up for lab is free, and it gives you the opportunity to learn how to work with the equipment and software that will be used in class. You may need to bring your own laptop or e-reader for assignments that are completed outside of class.

How to manage two courses at same time

Degrees have prerequisites, which most students complete in their first or second year. Adding a second major later in life will frequently mean adding another semester or two to your schedule.

All majors include general education courses and electives, and students should make good use of those credits.

Once a student has decided on a program and a course of study, he or she should seek for coursework that may be applied to both majors. Classes within the same institution, such as liberal arts, sometimes overlap, thus students majoring in international studies and history may be able to double dip by taking a course like Latin American history, according to Terry-Emmot. “Electives are frequently used to accommodate a second major. Plan a Degree and a Career

Every student should have a four-year plan, but for multiple majors, that road map is vital, according to Terry-Emmot.

Sujal Manohar, a rising senior at Duke University in North Carolina, is juggling visual arts and neuroscience majors. She says she waited until the late autumn of her sophomore year to declare her majors and worked with advisers to ensure her plan was feasible. Manohar, who considers herself to be well-organized, claims she arranged her lessons to guarantee she could study both areas.

Manohar urges people considering a double major to understand the criteria and conduct their own study. She also emphasizes the importance of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs in accelerating her college education. She was able to fulfill some of her general education requirements at Duke by taking AP and IB classes.

Manohar selected a degree in visual arts and neuroscience since it complements her interests.

“I’ve always been fascinated with art.” It’s something I’ve loved and been enthusiastic about for much of my life. I’ve also developed an interest in the sciences and STEM areas at the same time. “I knew going in that I wanted to combine painting with some form of STEM discipline,” Manohar adds.

Though her work in the two subjects does not intersect in the classroom, Manohar has successfully combined the topics in her own artwork. When she graduates in 2020, she intends to draw on both subjects and demonstrate to potential employers how she has linked the themes. She is now curious about how art might be utilized to improve patient outcomes in medicine or therapy.

“Having the ability to think artistically and imaginatively while yet having a very strong grasp of science is important in any career,” Manohar adds. “It’s critical to have an interdisciplinary attitude when tackling challenges, and this applies to a wide range of areas.””

Can I do two degree courses at different universities?

Yes, this is very possible and people have being using this means to enrich their brains ant a short time so you can do it.

For example, you can be an accounting student at the University of Ottawa and at the same time a Sociology student at Florida State University.

Can you do a degree course with a Polytechnic Programme?

This is like the above question answered and it is allowed. You know we are in jet age so things have to be fast and this is one of the ways we can acquire knowledge in a short time.

I personally had a friend who got admitted to Oxford University at the same time offered a space at the Arizona State University Polytechnic. He was doing the two courses simultaneously and still graduate with good results from both schools.

He was done with his degree a year after completing the HND programme.

Can I do a Degree with a Masters programme?
